The Philosophy Department (https://philosophy.ucsc.edu) at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of part-time Lecturers who may be appointed to teach courses that will supplement the department’s core curriculum, which include the following areas: logic, history of philosophy, metaphysics, epistemology, value theory, and introductory courses.
Commensurate with qualifications and experience and the particular courses the Lecturer is appointed to teach.
Ph.D. (or equivalent foreign degree) and a demonstrated record of university teaching experience at the time of application.
Appointments are contingent on the hiring unit’s instructional need and the availability of funding. Appointments are typically made during one or more quarters of the regular academic year (fall, winter, and spring quarters).
