The Psychology Department [] at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of part-time Lecturers who could be called upon as needed to teach one or more of the following psychology courses: introductory psychology, research methods, statistics/data analysis; or in the following content areas: cognitive psychology, clinical/abnormal psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology, or personality psychology.

Applicants with any of the following qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply: expertise in teaching a wide array of psychology courses and/or a minimum of one year of college or university teaching


Commensurate with qualifications and experience and the particular courses the Lecturer is appointed to teach. Compensation for Summer Session courses may vary from courses taught during the academic year.

Ph.D. (or equivalent foreign degree) in Psychology or related field at the time of application

Appointments are contingent on the hiring unit’s instructional need and the availability of funding. Appointments are typically made during one or more quarters of the regular academic year (fall, winter, and spring quarters), but they may also be made during Summer Session.
