Position description

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an Assistant Project Scientist. Under the direction of Marco Rolandi the Assistant Project Scientist will design and perform experiments and or models, contribute to the writing of papers and reports, and work alongside undergraduate and graduate students.

Successful candidates will be scientists and engineers with experience successfully working in a multidisciplinary and large-team environment and they will possess skills in microfabrication, microfluidics, ionics, microscopy, biological control, and machine learning.

SALARY
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
A Ph.D. (or an equivalent foreign degree) in electrical and computer engineering, applied physics, applied mathematics, materials science and engineering, mechanical engineering, or closely related field at the time of application.

DURATION OF POSITION
Initial appointment will be 100% for one year. Reappointment may be considered contingent upon the availability of work and appropriate funding.
