Position title: Junior Specialist in Bioelectronic Devices
Salary range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Percent time: 50% time and effort, with the possibility of increase up to 100% time based on availability of funding and/or work.
Anticipated start: As soon as possible after initial review of the applications.
Position duration: Initial appointment will be for one year. Reappointment may be considered contingent upon the availability of work and appropriate funding.

Position description

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for a Junior Specialist. Under the direction of Professor Marco Rolandi, the junior specialist will work on bioelectronic devices for tissue regeneration, and will work on device fabrication, assembly, and testing. the junior specialist will be responsible for developing standard operating procedures, as well as coordinating the device manufacturing and testing of the devices with collaborators.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in biomedical engineering or a related field.
• At least one-year of industry experience in biomedical devices relevant to the advertised position.
