Position description
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for the position, Postdoctoral Scholar in Microfluidics and Microfabrication. Under the direction of Associate Professor Mircea Teodorescu, the successful candidate will be an engineer or scientist who will join a multidisciplinary team developing hardware, software and cloud computing techniques that monitor physiological development of in-vivo and ex-vivo biological systems. Duties will include designing and performing experiments and theoretical models, pursuing collaborative research publications, writing papers and reports, and working alongside undergraduate and graduate students.
Applicants with research expertise in cleanroom microfabrication as well as developing microfluidics devices or similar fields are strongly encouraged to apply. Prior work with biological systems is optional.

Ph.D. (or equivalent foreign degree) in electrical and computer engineering, applied physics, materials science and engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field.
