Digital Arts and New Media: Lecturer Pool (Ongoing)

We are no longer accepting applications for this recruitment

The Digital Arts and New Media (DANM) M.F.A. Program at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an on-going pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach occasional courses under the direction of the program chair. DANM serves as a center for the development and study of digital media and the cultures they help create. Courses address interdisciplinary artistic and scholarly research and production, in the context of a broad examination of digital arts and cultures. Possible related areas of research and teaching might include mechatronics, participatory culture, performative technologies, or playable media and required core courses. We have a preference for candidates with expertise in the theory and practice of digital arts and new media. We are especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching.

Candidates accepted to our pool may be approached by other units to teach in areas related to their demonstrated areas of expertise. Regular appointments are during the academic year, but accepted candidates will also be eligible for Summer Session appointments.
