Position description

The Economics Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for a position in macroeconomics and international finance at the tenured Associate or Full Professor level. The Economics Department has a Ph.D. program, a professional Master’s program and several undergraduate programs.

Applicants should have an established track record of research and teaching experience in macroeconomics and international finance. Applicants will be expected to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels (including classroom), advise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and contribute to the research environment of the department and to university and professional service.

The successful candidate must be able to work with students, faculty, and staff from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds. UC Santa Cruz is a Hispanic-Serving Institution with a high proportion of first-in-family undergraduate students. RANK: Associate Professor or Full Professor with tenure; academic year (9-month) basis

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. or equivalent foreign degree in economics or related field, demonstrated record of research and teaching experience in macroeconomics and/or international finance, and demonstrated record of university or professional service.
