Position description

The Digital Arts and New Media (DANM) M.F.A. Program [http://danm.ucsc.edu/] at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), which serves as a center for the development and study of digital media and the cultures they help create, invites applications for an ongoing pool of part-time Lecturers.

DANM courses address interdisciplinary artistic and scholarly research and production, in the context of a broad examination of digital arts and cultures. Lecturers will generally be appointed to teach courses that address current theory and practice, but course topics may also include mechatronics, participatory culture, performative technologies, or playable media.

Applicants with expertise in theory and practice of digital arts and new media are strongly encouraged to apply. The campus is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching and other assigned duties.
