Position description
The Global and Community Health (GCH) Program at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of lecturers. Applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas are invited to apply: COVID (from an interdisciplinary perspective) and health communication including writing, review and website development. The campus in especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching and other assigned duties.
Successful applicants may be appointed to teach courses that either: 1) teach students from across disciplines to examine the medical, cultural, and public health concepts necessary in a post-COVID world; or 2) teach GCH seniors about e-portfolio webpages that will comprise their capstone "GCH e-Record" designed to communicate their disciplinary and interdisciplinary learning in their degree to a specific audience beyond the university.
Applicants with any of the following qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply: MPH; DrPH; or PhD in public health, infectious diseases or communications.

Qualifications
- Master of Public Health (MPH) degree; or M.A./M.S. degree in a field relevant to the position (e.g., global health, community health, health sciences, etc.); or a professional degree in a field relevant to the position (e.g., M.D., MSN, NP, NE, etc.). Equivalent foreign degrees will be considered.
- Teaching experience.
